The San Francisco Peninsula Press Club held its 37th Annual Professional Journalism Awards Competition on May 31 and presented 192 awards of excellence in eight divisions and 41 categories. Judges included media professionals from Press Clubs of Cleveland, Florida, Houston, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Orange County, and San Diego.
Karen Owoc and her colleagues, Kevin Wing, Keith Sanders, Darryl Compton and Patty Zubov, were recognized for their contributions to “Off Camera” which received First Place in the Public Relations/Newsletter category.
“Off Camera” is a monthly publication of the Northern California Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (host of the Emmy® Awards) and features media profiles, broadcast news, events, technology, and Karen Owoc’s monthly health column, The Health Reporter.
